Charity Car Boot Sale - Market St car park 8th May
The Mayor of Barrow, Councillor Rory McClure, is holding a Charity Car Boot Sale on Sunday, 8th May commencing at 7.30am on Market Street Car Park.
The cost per car is £5, which is payable on the day and spaces will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. All booking fees are in aid of the Mayor's Charities.
If the weather is inclement, the boot sale will be postponed until the following Sunday.

Cumbria CVS Volunteer Workshop - 13 April

Money raised for St Mary's Hospice at Love Barrow Awards
Lauren and James counting the money collected at the 2011 Love Barrow Awards ready to hand it over to Zoe Guest (Fundraising Manager, St Mary's Hospice).
Lauren and James are Central and Hindpool Junior Wardens who were shortlisted for Group of the Year at this years Awards ceremony.
The Awards attendees donated over £740 to the Hospice through the raffle on the evening. Thanks go to the Park Leisure Centre, the forum, Barrow AFC, Inside Out Activities, Apollo Cinemas and the Abbey House Hotel for donating raffle prizes.

Printfest 2011 - Printmaking Workshops – Help them Celebrate their Anniversary
Printfest invites you to join them for a free, drop in workshop with their Printmaker of the Year, Trevor Price. Participants can join in for an hour or stay for the whole day, and will be able to experiment with a variety of printmaking techniques and use a printing press.
Prints produced during the workshop will form part of the Celebration 10th anniversary print which will be unveiled at Printfest 2011 on Friday 29 April and Sunday 1 May 2011.
All are welcome although children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
