It's panto time - Cinderella at the forum, Barrow - also in BSL!




































Starting from the 16 December 2011 there are 25 performances of the classic panto Cinderella at the forum, Duke St, Barrow. On Friday 23 December the 11am production will be British Sign Language (BSL) interpreted.

Barrow's Wildside at the forum 1st December

Barrow's Wildside is an exciting project that aims to improve green spaces in Barrow for wildlife and the local community. Being outside and closer to nature improves your well being too! Loads of exciting plans are being planned for young and old alike. You and your family can get involved in walks, training, practical conservation work.

Over the winter there are some interesting talks to tempt you out on the dark evenings. These inspiring talks are being held in the Studio at Forum 28 and cover a range of wildlife topics.

Cheryl Nicholson, talks about The Wildlife Trusts’
vision of how to make wildlife thrive from the depths
of the ocean to the coastal shallows. Find out what

first-served basis.

CAST Youth Theatre brings to life the well known Cliff Richard Musical that will transport you, by bus, back to the 1960's. It's all-aboard for a feast of fun as CAST Youth theatre present Summer Holiday the Musical. Featuring that famous London red bus, Barrow's rendition of The Shadows and countless hits from the past including 'Seven Days to our Holiday', 'Swinging Affair', 'Summer Holiday', 'Bachelor Boy', 'Dancing Shoes', and many more. This fun filled musical will delight all ages and shouldn't be missed!

Love Learning – Saturday 14 May 2011 – the forum, Barrow

FREE EVENT - An occasion to celebrate learning and invite everyone in the town to experience the variety and quality of learning on offer in Barrow.

The benefits for learning providers involved in the event might include;
- Awareness raising
- Opportunity to showcase activities
- Provide tasters to ‘hook in’ new learners
- Contact with potentially difficult to reach groups

Exhibitor places will be free and allocated on a ‘first come first served’ basis. Interactive displays and presentations will be particularly welcome.

A590 Youth Theatre and Junior groups join together for their 10th Anniversary production, Fiddler on the Roof, a powerful musical classic about a father's battle to balance his religious devotion with his love for his daughters.

A cast of 70 young people bring you one of the longest-running musicals on Broadway, Fiddler on the Roof is a timeless classic with something for everyone. Very few other musicals have so magically woven music, dance, poignancy and laughter into such an unforgettable theatrical experience.

The Ashton Group presents 'Hollows' by Alex Mullarky

The ‘Apprenticed Actors Company’ return with a new play by Whitehaven writer, Alex Mullarky, winner of the ‘New Lines’ playwriting competition.

In a remote ruined church in West Cumbria, 4 teenagers meet up to drink lager, mess about and talk about the future. Avery plans to be an artist, Laurie needs a job, Adam hopes to join the army and Chris just wants to fit in.

Then 2 things happen which change their world, something right there in the ruins and something 3,567 miles away.

Come and watch Barrow’s brightest young actors perform a brand new play by a rising Cumbrian star.
