London 2012 Olympic Games Sports Competition Schedule published
The London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) today published the full sports competition schedule for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The schedule contains the full details of 19 days of sporting competition, including the times and venues for over 640 session, across over 300 events, 39 disciplines, and 26 sports.
The sports competition schedule has taken over two years to develop, and has been approved by the IOC, 26 international sporting federations, and the host city stakeholders for every Olympic Games venue.
The sports competition schedule is published exactly a month before London 2012 Olympic tickets go on sale. 6.6 million tickets are on sale to the public from 15th March to 26th April 2011.
Sebastian Coe, Chair of LOCOG, commented: ‘Publishing the Olympic sports competition schedule means that everyone – athletes, coaches, spectators, broadcasters and everybody who wants to be part of London 2012 can now start planning their Games.’
The Olympic Games is the greatest show on earth, and the schedule shows the vast choice of sporting events on offer for the public to go and see. The world’s greatest athletes in every one of the 26 Olympic sports are now honing their preparation to a specific point of time on a specific date in July and August 2012.
Families up and down the country can now plan their summer of 2012. The schedule showcases brilliant and exciting sport every single day, over 19 days, with 302 medals on offer. Our message to the public is clear – the superstars of twenty six world sports are coming to the UK and you have the chance to say ‘I was there’. Sign Up now to www.tickets.london2012.com for everything you need to know about Olympic tickets.’
London 2012 Olympic Games tickets are on sale from 15 March to 26 April 2011. There is no advantage to applying early and it is not first come first served – everyone has an equal chance. Oversubscribed sessions will be balloted.
Tickets for the London 2012 Paralympic Games go on sale on 9 September 2011.

'BEYOND THE TREES' by Sarah Miller and Barrow Junior Youth Theatre.
A game of hide and seek in the forest. An old house, the furniture covered in dust sheets. A secret door and beyond the trees, a silent pond where a boy sits fishing.
What is that noise? Is it just the wind in the trees?
A chilly mystery.
'SEEING THINGS' By Sarah Miller and Barrow Senior Youth Theatre 1
Felicitiy’s Nanna Rita is out on the estate and she’s started seeing things.
A heart-warming story about home, community and the generations.

“That’s it, there’s no internet anymore! It’s retribution time…I knew it would happen! Now then you will have to get up and walk! Yes, that’s it, use your legs! It’s called walking! We are going back to basics!!!!” A satire on how we live today.
