URGENT MESSAGE FOR ALL YOUNG PEOPLE IN FURNESS!!

Do you think you could make a difference to your local area?

Do you believe in the power of Youth Voice?

Do you think you can communicate with different people and influence their decisions?

Then stand as a candidate in the first ever
FURNESS YOUTH COUNCIL ELECTIONS!

The elections will be held online at the end of February and beginning of March. Any young person aged between 11 and 18 can put themselves forward as a candidate. If you are successful and are voted as a Youth Councillor, you will:

- have the opportunity to have your voice heard

- meet new people and have lots of fun
- have an impact on making positive change in your community
- get a reference for school/college/university/CV
- meet regularly with other Youth Councillors and take part in trips and visits

There are 20 places on the Furness Youth Council, and the deadline for sending in your application is FRIDAY 4 FEBRUARY 2011.
