Brief Permanence - exhibition at Art Gene

A mixed-media exhibition exploring the meaning and contradictions of circus through the works of three British Artists, Rosalind Davis, Shelley Love and Michaela Nettell. Part of Zircus Plus, Barrows International Circus Festival.

Shelley Love's film 'The Forgotten Circus' tells the story of a circus adrift, forgotten, lost forever in time.

Michaela Nettell's video projections on glass explore ideas of illusion, impermanence and flight. Rosalind Davis' mixed-media paintings focus on structures that appear neglected but which are of vital importance to the individuals who use them. Curated by Irina Stark.
