7 young people from the project attended and after some instructions about what to do they were confident enough to take to the water.The sessions was one of the Summer programme provided for the Junior Warden scheme by Central and Hindpool Neighbourhood Wardens.
Other sessions have included a visit to Furness Abbey, cleaning up and gardening for Cumbria CVS at their new premises on Hartington St, a trip to the cinema and gardening at the Green Heart Den.
Future sessions to come will include more canoeing and a beach clean at Roanhead. If you are aged between 9-11 years old and either live in the town centre or Hindpool or attend St James', St George's, Sacred Heart or Greengate Junior Schools then you are eligible to join.
