Furness Young People's Films and Photography

Why not pop into the Forum, Duke St, Barrow now to see a great display of Furness Young People's Films and Photography.

Don’t miss this opportunity to see two fantastic short films entirely made by and starring local young people and taking in locations all over Barrow from the rugby grounds and Barrow Park to the docks and the Nines club.

The exhibition is now on display in The Forum exhibition space until the end of next week (17th May).
Great Expectations is a about celebrity culture and the role models young people rightly or wrongly aspire to. Courtney, idolises a rock star and her brother Rob is obsessed with a local footballer, but when they set out to get closer to their heros the pair discover that appearances can be deceiving.

Coast of Soap Ships is a visually compelling portrait celebrating Barrow made in response to the Channel 4 Secret Millionaire episode that showed the town so negatively.

A series of local photographs and behind-the-scenes stills from the projects are also on show.

PLEASE COME ALONG TO ENJOY THIS REALLY GREAT EXHIBITION AND LEAVE YOUR COMMENTS!
